Parking for trip to London

Maxiscot,
When I did it the streets were almost empty (as they appear on the satellite photo). I was just surprised because I thought they could only do about 40%.
OP
How did you get on? Where did you park?0 -
True to form, I was very late getting to London for my 11.30 appt. I came armed with a printout of tips and an A to Z, and planned to make my decision based on factors upon arrival. Seeing as I was so late, I had to get as close in as I could, keeping things simple. I went with parking in the Shepherds Bush NCP. There were no real signs for it, so the tip was great. It cost more than I wished (can't remember the charge for every 15 min, but a £10 day max), but I was so late I couldn't be too choosey. I had to get to the Embassy before 12 or 12.30, as I knew they closed for lunch and my appt was at 11.30. My car park ticket printed as 11.45 and I was entering the Consulate doors at 12.10. Couldn't use my zone 1 travelcards, nevermind! Spent £14.90 on parking and travelcard. I know, had I been earlier, I could have spent less! But I had to have saved at least £10, and didn't have the hassle of driving round Grosvenor Square.
Thanks again everyone! Mse'ers are a great bunch! Someone always has the answer!0
