I really like that house :( Someone lend me a million.

it's a lovely house with a lot of wow factor - it would be wrong of me to tell you the actress that lives in it, she is stunning though.

when will you ever learn that you haven't got a scooby and all your predictions have been totally wrong

you'll see it has a higher price now at £950k - £75k more

interestingly the it looks like agents are onto Property Bee and how it works and are re-listing properties so that the history is unavailable as a newly listed property.
So lets get this straight. A certain vendor can't sell their property because the asking price is too high. That same vendor decides to increase the asking price even higher and suprise, suprise they still can't sell it. There's certainly some dumb a$$es about.

But its not sold though. I have heard of people who have sold their property and then months later pulled out of the sale remarketed for 10% more and sold but this a non story unless the property sells for close for 725K. There is a property on near me started off at 399K came down to 300K and now is back up 375K of course it not sold.

The reality is these people have read the headlines and believe every property has gone up by 10% and will continue to rise. They couldnt sell their property at peak when anyone could pretty much sell anything and they now think they sell at higher than peak.

Its not a headline until the properties statrt to sell and the suffolk has not sold from what I can see.

Its nothing more than desperation by Hamish which I find strange when prices are rising.

Theres a theory about this I learnt in a conference thing once.

Basically for one off items, people will often watch the price. When they see the price go up, they think they better jump quick before A) it sells and B) it goes higher. It's a psycological thing, but only works with one off's. In this case, it's working on one off high value properties, but also works with antiques and antique cars.

However, having known the price beforehand, that's most likely what will get offered. It's just a way of scaring people in to buying and selling at the price you wanted to sell at. Makes the interested party think others are interested.

    Apparently, anyway!

Wouldn't work with a standard 3 bed semi town house. The buyer would just move on to the next.

The only thing that smacks of desperation is your repeated confusion of it with shadenfreud.

Prices are rising. Healthy competition is rapidly driving prices back up to 2007 levels. Stories like this serve to remind the bearish posters of just how far we have come, and how wrong they were.

Which provides me with endless hours of free entertainment. All very MSE really....:D

As they have not sold it only goes to show how deluded people like you are. Prices maybe rising but not in the cases of your examples! Come back when they have sold for their higher prices and I may take you seriously:rotfl:

I don't recommend taking Hamish seriously.

Who knows where that may lead?

Have a look at next door Brentford, Whitton, or Isleworth on property bee. Anyone can show one property in the banker belt but this is not the norm for the vast majority of West London.

Prices are going to continue to crash to normal Chunky despite your put downs.
