Royal Mail stolen parcel?

The only stuff that's gone missing in the mail for me was a large DVD boxset from Play and a collector's edition bit of cinema merchandise from a reputable retailer. Both large packages. I don't intend to know the ins and outs of the Royal Mail, but they strike me as the items least likely to get lost, but the most likely to be stolen by a dishonest staff member.

Wouldn't like to point fingers but I imagine the opportunity to nick non-recorded mail is quite easy to come across. Especially with the RM hiring anybody to cover striking staff members (the latter item was very recent).

P.S. I've read this thread now and realise that this probably isn't the case for you. Just thought I'd share my experiences anyway!
