Balance Transfer

Hi I'm new to this and there is probably already a post about this but i cant find one so here goes...

Basically I have 2 credit cards, one about 19% with Lloyds which has been closed but Im paying off the balance which is now about £650 and the limit is £1500, my other is with Capital which is 34% which has a balance of about £1400 limit of £1500 so I want to transfer £600 from my Capital One to my Lloyds as its nearly half the APR. Would I be able to do that? I also have a really bad credit rating but have been paying about £50-£100 of the Lloyds as well as the minimum of about £15/month.

Hope you can help.

  • As the account has been closed you wouldn't be able to take out any balance transfer offers on the account. You could try applying for the Flybe credit card that gives 0% for 6 months on balance transfers. People with poor credit history seem to have more success getting this card than more mainstream ones. It'll hardly hurt your credit rating that much attempting to apply for one.
