Got job but can JCP stop my JSA before I start?

Options
Hi, I had an interview the other day and was successful pending satisfactory references (got those done already and successful), a successful induction and CRB check and a 3 month probation.
I dont start the induction until mid January for 1 week then Im not sure what happens after that. Im wondering when I should tell the Jobcentre about the job offer?
Im going to have to go in to ask for help with the CRB check as I have to pay that myself so I will have to take the letter with the offer on it. Could they stop my JSA money until I start work? I will not be receiving any other money in the meantime so I would hope not or it will leave me in a mess!

You should be entitled to JSA until the day before you start work.

You may also be entitled to a job grant if you meet the requirements :
    Job Grant

A Job Grant is a tax-free lump sum. You may be eligible for a Job Grant if you have been claiming one of the following benefits:
    • Employment and Support Allowance
    • Incapacity Benefit
    • Income Support
    • Jobseeker's Allowance
    • Severe Disablement Allowance
You will need to have been claiming benefit continuously for more than six months and starting work of more than 16 hours per week.
You'll automatically get Job Grant if you're eligible. You just need to make sure you tell your Jobcentre Plus Office that you're starting work. You'll be paid in the same way as you were paid your benefit.

    Also:

    Help with housing costs

If you were getting help with your housing costs while you were out of work, you may carry on getting this for up to four weeks after you start your new job. You'll need to have claimed income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Income Support for at least 26 weeks continuously just before you started work.
    The benefits include:
    • Extended Payment of Housing Benefit
    • Extended Payment of Council Tax Benefit
    • Mortgage Interest Run On

    Thanks for that.
It would seem Im not entitled to the help since I have only been on JSA since the end of October. Unless they would take into account the time before that when I was receiving IS while appealing a decision to stop my IB?
Im glad they will keep paying until I start work as I am not paid for the induction so would have no money to get there if they stopped payments!
    Thanks

Heres another thread about someone who may/may not have a job, done all the footwork and scared about telling the JC.

Op, remember that the JC want you off their books and working.

They can't help you unless you tell them.

Tell them and you get help with travelling, return to work bonus and even help with CRB checks.

Don't tell them and they can't help you.
