Hi everyone I'm new here and have a few questions, I hope someone can help me with.
I know for certain that my husband has been missold on ppi's in the past as he was a serving soldier and would have been paid indeffinatly if he was off work sick, that's just for starters, I am sure there will be others reasons. The problem is it's longer than 6 years ago, some loans could be up to 15 years, he's had a few. They are all with LLoyds as he has had the same bank and branch for the lasy 35 years.
Does anyone have any experience with this and also would a claim make any difference to our relationship with the bank.
Hope someone can help as it must be thousand, although I am probably far too late as I don't have any paperwork now.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi There.
Have a look on Experian which holds your credit score. Join up to gewt the info on all your financial history which includes account no's etc. Do not forget to sign the DD when you have this info otherwise you will have to pay every month. Then once you have that info you could write to LLoyds with the account numbers and tell them you felt you had been mis sold and the reasons why. You have nothing to lose on this and hopefully you may get some of the PPI repaid to you.
It should not harm your relationship with your bank. It is their fault if these were mis sold. Good luck to you.:mad:0 -
Thanks maxdp, I didn't think there was any way for me to check other than with the bank so I will get on the case.
Your help is much appreciated and I will post on any progress.

Hello and welcome.;)
I see our Maxdp have also posted up as well, and I would suggest you do this.
In regards of PPI reclaiming, the link below is very useful, you will find the guidelines of reclaiming, a checklist of mis selling reasons, (write all that occurs to you), and reclaim template letters, you can use them if you want to, or as a guide and they have 8 weeks in full to respond,
Best as well to post by recorded delivery - this is your proof of posting.

If the loan is with the same broker/provider, if the reasons are all the same, you can write on the one letter, but to include all the loan account numbers where mis sold etc.
If you do not have the paperwork, firstly ask by calling into your local branch for these, they may give them free of charge this way.
Another way is to request a Subject Access Request (SAR), where they have 40 days to comply and send everything they hold on you.
If you bank with them, just write your banking account number and they should send all info on all loans you taken out, and credit cards and so on.
There is a £10 charge for this payable in postal order or cheque payment, again post by recorded delivery.
Template letter of SAR here with details:

There is an address thread on here for the DSAR section as well.
