Halifax Website Down?

It might be just me, but I cannot log onto the Halifax website. It has been like this since yesterday and it is starting to worry me. Is there anyone else with the same problem.

    Works ok for me.
There were some big issues on Friday with the LINX network, which caused major internet problems. Lots of ISPs, and websites use LINX, so many people have had connectivity issues.

I think this is an AOL issue, as I've had this problem since friday.

It's certain, (not only secure) websites. It's really annoying!!

I've found it to be Halifax, & all the catalogues (littlewoods group) so far.

At first I thought it was my pc but then when I tried the 2 other pc's and a laptop in the house it's the same errors. My mum & my daughter also AOL customers have the same problem.!

We don't use actually use aol, we're using firefox &/or IE, just the provider is AOL. does anyone have advice on how to get round this problem.!...although my DH says its not a problem, if I can't shop I can't spend money !!

My understanding is that something big was happening with Barclays site early last week, when friends had bother logging into their business account.

They contacted Barclays online helpdesk, who looked into the matter and were told to immediately shut their computer down. They state that their computer hard drive has been infected and they have had to take steps to rectifiy the problem. It would appear that when they tried logging into Barclays they got a symbol on their screen as though it was trying to connect them but it just hung like that and they could not get through.

Whether these things are connected to the Halifax problem is another matter.
