Ladies PJs

Ladies - I'm wanting to buy some PJs for a lady who is ~size 16
Easy you'd think!

However there are 2 things that I'm really struggling with
1) they must "pull up" properly - too many PJs (and trousers!) are these new fangle low rise hipster things with a crotch seam of about 3 inches (ok maybe 6!) - she wants proper old fashioned pull up to your waist ones
2) they must have a T-shirt style top not a button-up as she's large chested & says she pops out of the buttons too often!

MSE versions would be good, but willing to pay more to get some that she'll be happy with!!

Primark have thousands of fleecy pjs, they even had snuggle suits in yesterday at £8 - might have bought one my self but i think they were meant for ladies of
6ft or so. I'm 5'3" so would have been a bit lost in it.

    Matalan also
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • I'd second Primark for their fleecy pj's. You can also buy bottoms separately which I have and change into as soon as I get home. Bought two pairs a month or so ago that have a ribbon on the waist band that means you can tie up as tight or as loose as you like, I think they were around a fiver.

thanks - I don't have a primark nearby (yes I know - one of the few places in the world!) but will hunt one out ... do the PJs definitely have a decent length crotch seam not a short one so the PJ bottoms hang off the hips?

No we don't have Primark either but find its worth travelling for especially for my daughter. Just measured my blue, snowflake fleece bottoms and they measure 16" from the top of the waistband to the crotch :rotfl:

Primark are selling a lovely set of pjs
they are nice cotton jersey, long sleeved
top and the bottoms pull up nice on the
    waist with an elasitic waistband.
They only have them in grey or cream
with tiny roses scattered about on the
fabric.very pretty and nice enough to
wear round the house, they cost more
than the flanel pjs they were £7 or £8
and go up to size 20/22 which is unusual for
Primark most everything only goes up to
    size 16/18
In M&S these would be four times
    the price.

Try Matalan! They are doing some lovely navy blue jimjams. An extremely soft material with space for bottoms in the bottoms! I'm not buying them as I'm looking for something long sleved! The bottoms are £8 but I don't recall the tops. There were two style tops both very stretch, a vest and t-shirt style I think. Remember to buy the bottoms bigger than actually size. I personally don't like sleeping in anything too tight!

Try TJ hughes if you have one. I am same problem - no buttons as come open in the night. £8.99 a few different designs and wash well.
