Extra Card Holder

Hi guys,
My American Express cashback card allows me to have more than one card on my account and have an additional card holder. I have always thought it wise to have an additional card and maybe keep it in the car, or leave it in my draw at work so if ever I don't have my wallet, I have a backup.

Is there any way I can apply for the additional card to be for me?
When I go on the application form, it needs names, dob's etc.
I do have a brother I could fill in the details for and then ask him to give me the card when it finally arrives, but I would rather it just have my details on it as he won't be using it.

Is this possible?

Thanks :money:

Don't do this. Thefts from cars are commonplace and you are asking for a fraudster to make an awful lot of money out of it.
or leave it in my draw at work so if ever I don't have my wallet, I have a backup.
Again, I estimate the 1 person per 100 per year get sacked for dishonesty within the workplace. Generically speaking a large proportion of those you work with are dishonest.

Not that I know of. Although with chip and pin a card in your partner's name would rarely be checked at the checkout!

Alternatively why not just get a credit card from a second provider? Simples!

Personally I think organising yourself better so that you have a card with you when needed is more sensible.

Ok thanks for your advice. It all seems sensible and a good suggestion :)
    Happy Christmas!
