Right i have done the fault code test and it has come back with 3 codes,
1320, 1326 and 1555 i have googled for the results but they may as well be in spanish for all the sense I can make of them
Regarding the oil I have filled up with one litre of the recommended oil and I now have a puddle of oil on the driveway.. so i have an oil leak from somewhere, would it be ok to drive to the garage tomorrow?
Thanks again.0 -
Will it be ok to drive?
If what you say is true (i.e. you didn't just spill a load of oil when you poured the oil in), no, it is not safe to drive.
You need to identify exactly where that oil is coming from, mop up what is there, take a good look with a torch, if necessary put a clean container under the car where it dripped to catch the drips and add more oil.
If you can't find it, you'll have to ask the garage to come and collect the car.
It really is in your best interests to find for yourself where it is leaking from so that we can advise you and you can be in a better position to reject the car. Otherwise the garage could do a cover up and you'll be none the wiser.0 -
P1555 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Load Signal not Plausible with Engine Load C-09
P1326 Knock Control Maximum Spark Limit Cylinder 1 Control limit reached. Probable cause:- Wiring, knock sensor, (KS), ECM.
Are you sure you got a 1320? just that code apparently does not exist... it has been confused on the internet with 1326 as a typo from what I can gather.0 -
Well the thing that worries me the most is I have done about 150 miles with an oil leak now I am worried it could have done lasting damage to the car.
I think it is leaking from around the bottom of the oil filter.
Hmm it could have been a 1329 rather than 1320 they flash fast. That comes up as a cylinder 4 fault.
Thank you for helping me0 -
Check the sump plug is in place on the bottom of the sump
Might look like this

The sump plug on that pic is the shiny circle on the underside of the engine just under where the oil leak is0 -
Sump plug appears to be in tightly and the drip seems to be coming from under the oil filter.0

photograph?
If so, tighten the oil filter (by hand) wipe clean and try to pour oil again.
They might not have used the rubber seal on the oil filter. <<< in which case you can't drive it, and I would want to be in the workshop when they remove the filter to witness that it didn't have the rubber seal fitted.
I got to go out now0 -
Thanks very much for your time you have been great0
