Kodak Inject Cartridges Not Printing Correctly

Hi,

Any suggestions anyone?

Have a Kodak all-in-one printer, which up until now has been brilliant for what I want (occasional home useage). It's been flashing up for the last week or so that I need to re-order a colour cartridge (had one in stock - bought from Tesco a month or so ago for just such an occasion). Tonight it stopped printing so I put in the new colour cartridge; then it asked for a black one so I did that too. Fully expected it to print again as normal but the yellow doesn't seem to be coming through (and for some reason  it won't photocopy in black although it will print in black i.e. direct from the computer).

Have done all the normal things (x 3/4/5/6!:mad::mad:) i.e. realigned/cleaned printheads etc. but still when I print a test page no yellow comes through (have even.... :o pressed on the yellow part of the pad and put water on it too in case it's dried out) but still nothing helps.

Anyone got any useful advice pls or have I just wasted £15+ at Tesco? (Print manager now reckons I've used half of my new ink refills..... trying to resolve this.....)

Sounds like the print head has dried up. You need to print at least once a day with ink jets. You would be better off with a laser printer. Or a least an inkjet printer with replaceable ink and heads included, like the HP's
  • Did wonder that i.e. being that the yellow is the outer colour.

Someone suggested white spirit on a cotton bud on the actual colour print head. Done that but still no joy. (Do I admit to Kodak that I've tried that?)

  • It looks like a hardware problem of your printer. So,please try to checked it with technician of your printer. It will solve your printer.
  • Thanks, JB. I emailed Kodak, who reckon it's a faulty printhead so seeing as how it's not yet 6 months old am happy to say they're sending me a new one along with a new set of cartridges. :j

    THANKS KODAK!!
