Help.
I wrote to Yorkshire bank 12 weeks ago regardsing miselling of PPI.
This is the response:
I have noted that:
You were not given the correct information when the policy was sold to you
You felt that the sale person was pushy in selling you the policy
I have reviewed this complaint in full and taking into consideration the regulations in force at the time of the sale and your complaint has not been upheld.
Please note that….. Would have been regular monitored by the banks training scheme.
It is noted that you asked for 4800 for home improvements.
When you affected the policy- you would have had an in depth meeting to discuss the benefits of the PPI and its costs so that you could make an informed decision
You were provided with the application form, demands and needs form and policy summary.
I would like to draw your attention to the demands and needs form in which you signed.
You signed the PPI section and clearly indicated that you wanted to take advantage off the benefits of taking out the ppi.
Please be advised that the PPI effected was the only payment protection that we offered and we established the cover was suitable for you.
It was made clear to you at all times that you had the opportunity to source this else where. There is no evidence to state that…. was pushy,
Then it goes on to say about complaining to the FOS.
My points are as follows:
She was pushy- and suggested that the loan may not go through if I didn’t take it out.
She also completed the Demands and needs form – as this is all in her writing.
It states on this form” we have identified your demands and needs as being those of someone who requires Repayment protection insurance in respect of this loan. We therefore recommend that you take out our repayment protection insurance to protect this loan.
Which goes back to my point- she was pushy- and pushed the ppi down my throat!
What should I do next- or is that it?

Hi there
This is a standard response, a fob off then.
If this was the final decision then yes move on to the FOS, you can download and print the complaints form from the FOS site or ring them to ask them to post you one, remember to enclose a copy of that letter as well and to support your complaint.
If your in financial hardship, let the FOS know and ask if they will consider dealing with your case under the fast tracking system.
Link here to FOS.

Fingers crossed now the FOS will sort them for you.
Despite what the loan company have said, you still have your own good reasons.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"
