Is there somewhere I can check BT rental charges ? Mine seems to have jumped up to almost £15 a month, after being £10.95 for ages and I can't see why or how to ask on their site !

No such thing as BT line reantal any more really.
Their cheapest package is Unlimited Weekend Plan which is £12.50 per month or £11.25 with paper-free billing and paying by direct debit. Paper-free discount is £1.25 and direct debit discount is £2.75.So without those that could be £16.50.

What does your BT bill say you are being charged the £15pm for?0 -
Just been back for a look, I'm supposed to be on the £11.25 a month, but it says "rental charges £19.57" then further down it takes £2.65 off. I don't understand it at all. It's late and I've had a horrible day so maybe I should leave it till tomorrow...0

My bill says £12.50 for rental charges. Your benefits says £1.25.
I would look and see what you are paying £19.57 for. Have you any calling features or additional call plans?0 -
Nope, we cut it down to the minimum. I suppose I'll need to phone them - and I have spent half today on the phone to Asda who will not let me pay for my big xmas shop because they seem to thinkI am not me. After I had an order twice a month for a year - they tell me my account is registered to a woman in Morecambe with a totally different email address !!
Maybe I'm not me at all. Can you see me ??
If not then I'm off to rob a bank - and not pay my phone bill !!!0 -
You may want to check if you have been billed for longer than a month this time.
BT are introducing a new billing system - at Ofcom's request - and one side effect is that when you are migrated over to it, for one bill your billing period changes, before it goes back to its normal cycle.

ok - thank you. I never understand BT bills and this one is no exception. And if I phone then it willl muddle me even more because they always tell me things that dont make sense. I will wait and see if the next month bill settles down
