my bad, some reason i thought they were both the same, oh well shows what i know0 -
back to the point in hand

If the OP is on tiscali (as am I, hence knowing the need for this) then you may be wise to get a router that is compatible with the DMT modem tool, coz you'll probably need to tweak your SNRM to get better speeds.
So, most Netgear DG834s, D-Link DSL2640B, 2740B, some Thompson Speedtouches would probably be on my shopping list, or at least worth more investigation. Ebay can throw up some bargains if you're lucky.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Hi
Thanks for your replies so far, quite confusing at first. Well I am with Tiscali and have a connection through a filter which then connects to the BT socket. My laptop also has a built in wireless adapter. So from what I understand, I need a wireless router with built in ADSL?0 -

Yes, you do !! You can pick up netgear DG834GT's on ebay from around £20-25 (I'm looking at getting one to play with
), D-Links are going for slightly more. Both have good Broadcom chipset and performance and you can use both Routerstats and DMT to twaek your connection with one of these routers. ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
