When I try to empty the recycle bin (ie delete all as unwanted) I get a message that says
"There is no disk in drive F. Insert a disk and then try again"
I have tried looking this up on GOOGLE and tried one suggestion, but it did not work. ( tO ALTER A BOX IN properties\global, either way ,on or off made no difference) I have recently re-installed win 98se due to another problem, which that cured.
I notice that in recycle bin it says under ORIGINAL LOCATION
"F:\WIN98SE\tour\overview\content\images"
Hope that helps.
MANY THANKS, LINDA

Hold your mouse over the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop & right click.
There is an "Empty Recycle Bin" command there.:D0 -

You could boot to DOS & delete the entire recycled directory if you're confident
e.g. deltree c:\recycled0 -
^^^agree with mcfisco, if you'r not confident in going into dos though, try the following:
insert the Windows 98SE CDrom and then empty recyclebin
if not
if your "F" drive your CDrom drive? if it is (which i'm presuming it is), right-click all the files which are origionaly from the "F" drive and and click "restore". you may get an error popping up, just click OK. then select all the files in your recycle bin from your local HD (c drive normaly) and click delete!
if that doesnt work, download Ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/download/)
1) tick "empty recyclebin (under the "system" subheading)
2) untick the following: "cookies", "history", "recently typed URLs" and "autocomplete form history" and in "application" tab, untick "cookies" (these are all personal prefrences, just to save inconvenience, you dont have to if you dont want to... i genraly do though)
3) click "run cleaner"... should do the job

one way, would be to right click on the recycle bin, goto properties,
there will be a sliding scale that will be at around the 10% mark, change that to zero, click apply, then change it back to 10% and click ok.
that should.. in theory delete everything in the recycle bin without prompting0
