good CS from Barclaycard

We've been busy here over the last couple of months doing some building and decorating at home, as a result the PC was dismantled and shoved in a corner for a few days. in the end we were late getting it all set back back up and sorting the card payments, money transfers etc online.
as a result we got stung for interest on both our Visa and Matercard Barclaycards. normally we pay these off for the full amount before the due date for FREE CREDIT!
we also got £58 of charges from HBOS current account for presenting a cheque without enough funds and going over our agreed overdraft.
having been into HBOS to withdraw some cash i asked the nice lady on the CS desk if i could increase my overdraft level and told her about it being the first time i'd gone overdrawn let alone over the limit. she checked on the system, increased my overdraft limit and creditted the charges for me because my history showed i'd not gone overdrawn before.
impressed by this i went home and phoned barclaycard and pointed out that i pay my cards off on time every month and could they credit the charges and interest?? YES, no problem, I had only to ask.
of course this wont if you use your cards for long term credit, but if like me you use them 'for free' don't grumble if you miss a payment date, just phone up and ask nicely!!!:T :T :money:
