Egyptair flight "operated by BMI", Bmi planes?

Hi Guys

The family are taking a trip to india which we've booked via Egyptair, in the tickets it says "operated by BMI", does that mean we will be travelling on BMI planes?

I've heard egyptair planes are very dated so i'm just trying to find out which plane we're likely to be on.

    I'm guessing your routing is LHR-CAI-BOM.

    The LHR-CAI sector will be operated by bmi as a code share flight with Egyptair (it will have both a BD and a MS flight number). Both airlines are members of the Star Alliance group. The BMI plane will probably be an Airbus A330.

    As for your concerns about the age of Egyptair planes, the CAI-BOM sector is flown by a Boeing 737-800 - the oldest in the Egyptair fleet of this type of aircraft is just over 3 years old.

    Ah thanks, I didnt mean the age of the aircraft, just the condition, uncomfortable seats and no in flight entertainment, I am hoping for those individual screens on the back which I think BMI have.
