Seriously lost!!! need to switch
I am currently with EDF Energy on Dual Fuel Fixed Price 2009.
Current charges are
Electricity
Band A 14.20p
Band B 10.39p
Gas
Band A 3.984p
Band B 2.505p
I have just been told that it runs out at end of this year so looking around for a cheaper supplier.
I can see the usual tariffs but have never seen tafiffs that says fixed daily charge.
Am I corect in saying that you get that charged everyday no matter what then also get charged ontop of that what you use.
How would you work out if these are any good?
Any suggestions out there on who is good atm?

Use a comparison website as different companies are cheaper for different areas and consumptions.0

For us Gritish Gas has worked out the
cheapest,we just pay for what we use
no other charges, quite pleased because our
bills have gone down as we are no longer
on a fixed rate.they seem quite flexible
because they have said if you think your bills
are getting too high ring in and they will try and
find us a cheaper rate.:j:j:j0 -

Why are they not offering you the cheapest deal they can now?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Most tariffs with a no standing charge offer a 2 tier pricing structure.
Tier 1 units are higher because it spreads out the otherwise standing charge over a set number of units; the tier 2 price which kicks in thereafter is exactly the same as the equivilent unit charge on a standing charge tariff.
Therefore if you use less than the tier 1 level, you will win on a NSC tariff.
If you always use the tier 1 number of units (which for most electricity users is the case, but gas users in the summer may not) then you pay exactly the same whether on a SC or NSC tariff.
As you say, best to compare the whole market using the comparison sites"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
