Hi.
It will be my first time flying with Easyjet so don't know quite what to expect (I've only occasionally seen the mainly 'horror' stories on TV [Airport]).
Anyway, I booked on-line 2 days ago and received an automated confirmation email almost instantly (from the 'black hole'). BUT, no money has been take out of my account yet (I paid via debit card). Does anyone know if this is the norm?
Thanks.

It does take a couple of days to go through, it did with me. Easyjet aren't as bad as they're made out, the seats are a little cramped and the food is exortionate (same as Ryanair really - who I prefer) but the flights usually get in on time** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

I fly with Easyjet quite regularly (good flights from the north of england), and I quite like them.
Just bought another one to Copenhagen after christmas

Thanks. So you'd recommend taking my own food and drink, or at least buying from the airport shop (after security)?
Ideally they should have Wetherspoons at airports.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
Yes, if you're in a long flight you better buy a meal deal at Boots hehe, but for a 2-hour flight you don't *really* need to eat on the plane, do you?
Remember that you can't take drinks from home, they'll keep your bottles at security (food's ok).Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -
The flight is over 4 hours followed by another 2.5 hours before destination. So I might need 2 meal deals.
Hope they don't consider a plastic bag full of food as 'extra hand luggage'. Though in this day and age it wouldn't surprise me :rolleyes:Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
I booked with them for a september flight, using an electron card, took them nearly a week to take the money. mind it DID take a week for eurostar to take theirs. Yes you will probably have to fit it in one piece of hand luggage.0

Whoo there! - I'm sure Easyjet inflight food and drinks aren't anywhere near the price of Ryanair! Although I haven't flown Ryanair for quite a while now as I finally got fed up of them.. but that's not for this topic!
anyway, if it's a morning flight Ezy do fantastic bacon rolls. But really, if you're going to enjoy the flight, why bother getting meals deals etc before you go. Just enjoy yourself, and splash out on some hot food! (as well as that I'm not sure you're really supposed to buy your own to eat on the plane, although loads of people do).0 -
You are perfectly entitled to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks if you want. Easyjet's prices are similar to the charter airlines and less expensive than Ryanair. Details here http://www.easyjet.com/common/img/Boutique-Bistro-Oct.pdf0

Well I have some consumable food to use up, so may as well make use of that (or it will be only go in the bin).
I wonder if they'll take the money before I'm due to fly.
I notice on the booking confirmation that they don't even mention which terminal my flight is from . Does anyone know (Manchester airport)?Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
