Dyson hose split again

I frequently use the DCO7 hose with the wand extended and the brush on the end. But for the second time the hose has split near the wand end. Guess from repeated flexing. Is there a way of getting the hose out of the coupling so that I can cut off the end piece which has ripped, and then refit it? Sounds simple enough but rather difficult to work out how to get the coupling off without damading it.

I don't know if this helps, but £69 covers the cost of parts and labour for a Dyson Engineer to come to your home, service the Dyson and carry out any repairs.

Have you tried ringing Dyson to complain?

When I had a DC07 we got through 3 hoses over about 3 years, I was told on the phone once that they knew it was a design fault and they just used to replace the hose for free. They would send it out to me in the post.

Try ringing Customer services, I think I stated that as the hose is designed to be used it wasn't fit for purpose if it kept splitting, and they'd agree and replace it!

Spoke to Dyson but they wouldnt offer free replacement hose as the last one I got from them was in 2005, but I got one from ebay after that. Looks like I will try and fix the split hose myself.
