car debt help
hi guys,
for last 3 months i have missed my car payments with GE money due to being out of work, they add £30 charge each time and want me to pay half £500 before we can reset up the DD i start new job next month and can easily pay half but now they have sent it to debt collector just for the 3 payments.
Does this mean i can set up a plan with the Debt collector and start paying GE money the original amounts per month again?
Any help appreciated
Regards
thomas

You might be better posting this in the debt-free wannabe board Thomas - you'll get better help there.
I'm surprised they haven't sent people round to clamp your car after three missed payments!0 -
I'm not sure why GE (are they not Santander nowadays?) won't set up another DD. Perhaps they don't have good enough reason to think it would be honoured if they do.
Anyway, nothing to stop you offering payment by other means
