Hey guys, just a quick one
Basically my laptop is packing in (nightmare this close to Christmas) and checked compare the market and on the credit cards section it got the Halifax card which offers 0% for 9months interest free. Am I right in thinking that, if I get this card and buy a laptop on it, as long as I pay it off before the 9months is up I will not have to pay any interest on the laptop?
I know I will be able to pay this off within 3-4months comfortable. So it wouldn't be a major issue as I've just paid off my HSBC credit card and have no debt as such bar maybe £100 ish on the OD which will be covered after pay day next week, oh and the mortgage but that's not going anywhere in a hurry :rotfl:
cheers guys, just don't want to buy a new laptop and discover I got to pay interest on it from the go.

Yes as long as the full balance is paid within 9 months and your cards T&Cs state you have a 9 month interest free on purchases period then you won't pay a penny more.0

Yes thats right, I have the same card.0

thats great, I just wanted to double check with people who know. I rely on a laptop for work and will be a lot less stress than trying to patch together the system together i'm using now0

The good thing about the Halifax is it has a low minimum payment each month. Useful for stoozing. So if you have the money and are disciplined about it you could stick the cash into a savings account for 9 months to try and get a little bit back then pay off the card after 9 months.0

You will have to make the minimum payment each month - make sure you set up a direct debit for the min amout so that you are not caught out. If you fail to make the min payment, then your 0% rate will be revoked & you will be liable to pay interest.0

Or 12 months if you have a current account that you fund with £1,000 a month: "Just pay £1,000 or more into your current account per month or have an Ultimate Reward Current Account "Basically my laptop is packing in (nightmare this close to Christmas) and checked compare the market and on the credit cards section it got the Halifax card which offers 0% for 9months interest free.
