  • You've got a power one at one end and the number 4 at the other end which is the network port. If its on amber its because it is detecting something is attached but is "in sleep mode" as it were. If you connect to it via a cable, chances are the network port on your computer is dicked.

However, the icon next to the power one at the other end is the internet one and if its yellow, there's no connection to the ISP but more importantly, its the broadband signal one so if the broadband connection was live but you couldn't authenticate with Sky, it would still be green. You need to phone them as its possible there's a line fault.
  • Hi,

We have had the same problem this morning, i think it might be a sky problem. Ours came back on without us having to do anything.

    Hope this helps
  • Thank you both. have called them, they say its a fault at the exchange and should be on later. we'll see.

You are talking about the internet indicator, not the 1,2,3,4 Ethernet ports.
It has the symbol of a lower case i sitting in a dish.

    It modes are.

Amber flashing: trying to connect to exchange.
Amber solid : connected to exchange.
Green solid: Logged on to ISP.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
