security for netbook

HI,
Santa will bring an eeepc this year and I wonder what firewall and antivirus software I should get for it.
On my old and slow current laptop I have avira, asquare, and microsoft inbuilt system. I also run c cleaner. I use mozilla firefox for browsing.
Should I install the same or is therE any better for netbook ...and free.

If you are happy with what you currently use, go for the same.

I have no experience of these Linux based netbooks though so compatibility could be a problem, I'm sure someone here will know.

Well, I use: Firefox with NoScript and Adblock Plus add-ons; Avast; Microsoft Security Essentials. All free and run with minimal resources . ;)
