It takes a while to appear, maybe 3 months or so.............. Why the rush to see it? It will get there.

We bought in Feb 2009 - our price appeared around May all fine.

  • Thanks natman, i bought the house in September, and the people who bought it in october in the same lane, their transactions are appearing.

Was just wondering if it was because it was the repossesd house ?

Your solicitor fills in all the paperwork and sends it off to the land registry.
We bought a new build so getting all the details from NHBC and main builders may have been a bit slow, otherwise the solicitor sent it off and it appeared like i say around 2-3 months later.

Yours may be a little slow becasue of a paerwork trail - but it wil get there!

Bought mine in August and still not appearing. I doubt whether it will. Some houses do not seem to, two years ago, a house I was interested sold but it never appeared on the sold website.

I'm pretty sure repossessions aren't counted in the land registry's statistics and therefore don't show on zoopla, mouseprice etc.

    Might be wrong though.

I bought a new build in 2006 with about 50 houses on the development and quite a few of them were missing from the house price websites and have never appeared nearly 4 years on. They also state the wrong details for a lot stating semi detached when its detached etc. A few houses have been sold on since and some of those transactions are missing from the websites aswell. Maybe its just human error at the land registry?

Hi Guys, .....thanks for your reply.
  • Hi Anshu,

Hannah from Mouseprice here - just to confirm that yes, Evian is correct - Land Registry's house price data doesn't include repossessed properties - although very rarely some get through by mistake.

What's the situation for houses that have sold at auction if they weren't a reposession? Would they show up in the data?

    Thanks.

Out of interest, why do you want your house on Mouseprice etc?

Is it so others can see it or to confirm you own it?

If the latter, pay the Land Registry £4 to get a copy of your registration (+ £4 for the plan).
