AOL poor customer service.

I have finally managed to cancel my AOL Broadband. At least I think I have!
I obtained a cancellation reference number and assurance no further monies would be deducted. It has taken me since August to succeed thus far.
Despite a copy of a transcript(taken from Live Chat) stating I was not in a contract after changing from dial up to Broadband, I was told I was in contract when I came to cancel and would have to wait until December and continue to subscribe monthly.I had been with Aol since 2000. I sent a copy of the transcript and a letter to Aol which they ignored requesting payments to be stopped.
I called this week to cancel and was told on two occassions the cancellation dept wasn't taking calls and to phone again at a later date. Their complaints procedure is not adhered to as they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor and they ignore letters of complaint.
I called again tonight....the bloke I spoke to this time cancelled my Aol in minutes....I hope. :xmassmile
