cd/dvd burning software free?

Hi
Can anyone recomend any software that allows me to copy cds or copy files and pcitures on to cd and dvd, was hoping for a free version if possible
the laptop came bundled with my dvd le but this has started playing up so have had to uninstall it (it kept asking for a disk to update it) dell did not supply any disks and the update on dell websire did not help either

Goto the software site for your burning software and update it.
I bet it's either nero or roxio.
