Depends on your supplier and if they are not pestering you to install one then chances are you will be paying for it in some form or another. Please support my thanks button if I have been of any help

Hi,
There are a couple of suppliers, but I believe BG and First Utility do one and you can check your consumption real time on google with First Utility. One thing to check is that you will probably have to pay a standing charge so you will find it more expensive if you don't use that much energy.
For reference - the government (Department for Energy and Climate Change) wants to install smart meters to all UK households by 2020.0 -
Just a small word of warning about smart meters, not all suppliers will accept you if you want to switch for a better rate.0

Stick with the meters youve got.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
