HI all
my dh is/was self employed for the past 5 years however the last 6 months have been dead in the water as far as work is concerned, this has eaten up all our savings to live/pay morg etc as we dont have morg protection as it was too expesnive to get with him being s/e.
Hes looking for a job but in the mean time thinking of having to sign on jobseekers allow, does anyone know what we would be entitled to ?
theres husband me and daughter whos 3, i currently recive long term incapacity benefit , and child benefit and chid tax credits
Thankyou

Was he earning too much to get working tax credits? Assuming he is doing some work or can say he is and now get under £16000pa working tax credits are what you need.
You may have earned too much before but you can notify them of a change in income as long as he still has work. You have to be able to give a figure of present income.0
