Doesn't really matter who was at fault, my premiums are protected,

If you are talking about having no claims bonus protection then I'm sorry to say your premiums aren't protected only the level of discount that is applied to them is protected.

Having said that, if you shop around at renewal you *might* be pleasantly surprised.

Those ball type circular stick on mirrors are a godsend for blindspots.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • Anyway back to the thread. Looks like a credit hire company have got hold of him. This is common now. If you have a non-fault accident, a CHC may manage the claim for the non-fault parties insurance company, they then get the non-fault driver in a nice hire car, not a small micra that you would normally have, then charge all the costs back to the fault drivers insurers. Then a small prang that may cost say £1,000 suddenly is £3,000-£,5000.

I have a similar thing, accident Nov 08, driver has hire car bill of £2,000+ and wants my insurer to pay it, but we think fault is 50-50.

So my advice to you is just send everything to your insurers, presumably you advised them of the incident at the time.
