Divx movie sync problems.....

I having a problem with the audio on Divx movies going out-of-sync with the video. This only happens when I'm watching them on my DVD/Divx player, which is a Yamada Chili DVD-2400x.
It's usually fine when the movie starts but gradually goes out-of-sync getting worse and worse. Pausing the movie for a few seconds usually fixes it for a while but it will happen again gradually as the movie goes on.
Can anyone help me with this? How can I stop it?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hi
If its only happening on the ones that you have burnt, then its either an encoding problem, or a burning problem.
Do you check the files first, play them at the start and end to see if they are in synch, if yes,
What encoder do you use, and do you close all other running programs down, encoding videos is a power hungry process.
Also try burning them at a lower speed, this sometimes helps.
I use VSO, and so far have never had any sync problems.
You can download a trial version here, just to see if it corrects the problem.

Hope this helps0 -
I'm not encoding or converting movies to Divx format, I'm downloading them in Divx format. They play fine on the PC with no sync problems and I always burn them at low speed (4X at the most). :mad:0

how big are the divx files? and how did you burn them udf or iso??? udf often causes problems so try a different mode
if the file size is over 1gb, try to split it. the reason dvd vob files are only 1gb is to counter act the exact problem you are having.0 -

File sizes are anywhere between 500 - 800mb and I burned them ISO with Nero.EasilyAggravated wrote:if the file size is over 1gb, try to split it. the reason dvd vob files are only 1gb is to counter act the exact problem you are having.
The files are never anywhere near 1gb. !!

I cannot I'm afraid.... I have another DVD player but only 1 dvd/divx player.
Anyone else know the reason for my sync problem.0 -
If it plays fine on your computer, but loses sync on the Yamada, then it's most likely a problem with the Yamada.
I have seen posts before with people having syncing problems. Your best bet would be to updgrade the firmware."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
