PPI canceled two years ago, but..............

Hi everyone, I have been looking through quite a few posts here and I have read a ton of usefull info, many thankls for that for starters.
However, genious here canceled his PPI on at least 4 cards but did this two years ago, but it never occured to me to ask for a refund....
Am I still entitled to one?????
we are talking on average 20 pounds per card per mth.....over quite some time.
Anyone know what excatly to tell them??
I intend to write as I wish to include a statement of all the charges.....

Why do you think they should give you a refund? Was there some reason the PPI was applied when you didn't ask for it? Unfortunately you don't get a refund just because you didn't use it! I wish my house & car insurance worked like that....0

I am self employed, and it would have not applied to me in almost any case, therefor it was missold to me.

The main question is: is there a limitation on this with regards time, I mean it happened two years ago so do i still have a leg to stand on.
It totals roughly £ 1,500 w. 4 cards.
And altho the cc comps were willing to drop the PPI quite quick they never offered a refund, nor did it ever occur to me to ask for one.....until now.

Ladies & gents................, Morgan Stanley have refunded me £ 648.00 :beer: and sent me a letter confirming this, which off course I shall use as amo with the other three companies (Natwest/Monument and MBNA).
Great stuff, we aint done yet tho....:T :beer:0 -

Didn't see this thread first time round.
Anyway my advice would have been that there's no harm in asking if you were misold. If it doesn't work, then there is advice on the FSA website about complaining. If there is a time limit, they'll tell you pretty quickly!

Here is a little update. Monument decided to pay (the PPI and the interest) after the Ombudsman decided to intervene.
MBNA still tries to fight me, even though the caseworker of the ombudsman has decided in my favor. I am awaiting a confirmation from the ombudsman on this matter.
The Natwest matter is on hold as I was too late to get the ombudsman to help me, but once the MBNA matter has been dealt with I will drag them to court if need to be....
A time consuming episode but sofar I have recieved £ 1,300.00 back from 2 comps.:T0
