I enjoyed the programme, found it by chance. Glad you're a convert now JR1!

I've been a Pound Shop regular for years - my best find were Victoria & Albert museum stationery items (all £7/8 inthe gift shop) & the Cosmopolitan magazine book (£15+ in shops).
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Wish we had a poundland/Home Bargains/B&M. Poundworld just isn't the same :(

Overall it was an enjoyable programme though.

Our nearest poundshop/99p/wilkinsons is at least 20 miles away and I keel over with envy when I read of the bargains they have. If only they'd have replaced our old Woolworths with something like that instead of a frozen food store..........
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • We've just got a Poundland and it's becoming my favourite shop - I've been waiting for one for ages! Their birthday cards are really good value, I've bought table confetti, glow sticks, Christmas tat - the real bargain was a couple of packs of mini pegs for putting up Christmas cards - 48 mini pegs and cord for a £1!

I loved the lady who had a house in the cotswolds, one in Antigua, drove and Aston Martin and shopped in the poundshop!!!!
Well the thing is, you don't get to be rich (and importantly stay rich) by spending more than you have to ;)

As everyone says, there's good and bad bits, but that's just the same as everywhere else.
