oh nuts i've just missed it! We have a pound shop here and got ds2 a nice Wall-e pop up book with some plastic toys with it, he'll really like it. I also get the advent calendars from there. You do have to sift through some of it but there are some good bargains to be had if you look.grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000

Don't worry dobs, it's repeated 3:55am monday morning so you can record it then instead.
My favourite which you couldn't really see on the programme are the rings of sleigh bells in red, silver or gold. I have one hanging on the back of every door downstairs so when we open or close the doors it makes a gentle sleigh bell noise!

I watched it, it was ok, but like most of us on here we know whats in the pound shop, and that there are good and bad bargains, I loved the lady who had a house in the cotswolds, one in Antigua, drove and Aston Martin and shopped in the poundshop!!!! just goes to show theres no shame in the cheap shops although I know people who still refuse to go in them0

well, i wanted some felt to make some star tree decs and it was 40p for a small sheet in hby craft, so i bought a huge felt present sack from poundland to cut up - there is equivalent of £1.80 worth of red felt, plus 40p green and 80p white! So i'm very pleased at my thrifty-nessRelax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0

It was a first for me, not for any reason other than we don't have a pound shop locally (nearest is the one in wrexham on the show) and I wouldn't have thought to visit one for christmas. I was really impressed with some of the things, and not necessarily others. I recommend the paper and wrapping bows, also the "make your own" crackers, the gold thread and gold peg christmas card holders, the cat food that Mr Darcy was eating was ok for him, but after 3 days of having it constantly he did throw up, but that was one of the bits they couldn't fit in the show (not him being sick, but mentioning it, lol), the christmas wreaths and the baubles are better than some dearer ones i'd seen in b&m.
I'm not keen on the christmassy chocolate they have there, but the candles, table confetti, and charger plates are fabulous value for money.
Overall outcome, is I'll definitely shop there in future, I love a bargain and there are plenty of them in the poundshops if you're careful what you buy.Tesco Clubcard - £50, Boots Advantage Card - £4 , Nectar points - 1846 :T
