I thought the limit was 3 per person?
Lloyds TSB limited it to 3 a while back, before that there was no limit.

Some lucky members on here have 7 !!

    I have just 3 myself.

My Natwest e-savings ends soon too. I'm switching to Tesco.

    It's the only account with
    a) a decent rate (not the highest, but decent)
    b) no restrictions on number of withdrawals
    c) no complex balance requirements (like keeping more, or less than £x)
    d) Faster Payments in AND out

So the best for moving your savings in/out regularly.

    Unless anyone knows better.....

    Hi all,

In the same situation as some of you in that my NatWest bonus is ending anytime so looking to jump ship.

Skipton would be my option however the BACS out is just putting me off.

ALthough the lady at Tesco Finance said they were FP out with the exeption of those to Nationwide would appreciate confirmation from anybody using them that this is the case - payments would be to my NatWest current account.

    MTIA.

Hi I've checked and they can receive FP, just not send, apparently...

Oh oops, you know that, I missed the 'out' on your sentence.
Apart from the big banks with low rates, no one does FP out, do they?

    I`ve got a Skipton at 2.76% "instant".
    FP in and BACs out.
Request money Monday in other account first thing Wednesday,2 days loss of interest, hardly a big deal.
Where else are you going to get 2.76% instant with no catches or bonus and FP out?

Yep, appreciate the BACS/few days loss of interest isn't too much of an issue but having been used to the instant movement of cash from Natwest E-Savings to NatWest current I do prefer the idea of being able to move things same day especially if I've forgtton to pay a Credit Card until the days its due !

NatWest must be seeing quite a few e-savings account holders leaving and would have thought somebody in there crack "How do we keep customers" think tank realised what was happening and reacted to it with some incentives for us to stay.

Know exactly what you mean, have banked with Halifax for years and have a current and also always had an "instant" websaver where you could switch money either way instantly.

Unfortunately Halifax is now about the worse savings rate provider in the universe, hence the switch to Skipton.

As I said in an earlier post, Tesco is the only (bank) with a reasonable interest rate that does Faster Payments in and out.

See here for who sends/receives FPs.

And Alliance & Leicester with a £250 limit on FPs out.

I was only thinking the same thing earlier today -- same boat as you, bonus finishes in a couple of weeks, and it's been brilliant having the eSavings under the same roof as the current accounts always are. Any maturing fixes have been "going home" there while deciding what to do next, but earning a decent rate while there. Instant TFs between all accounts, all on the same screen. FP both ways. Just great, so convenient, ticks all the boxes.

I half-thought of phoning to check there was nothing on offer in the way of an extension -- not as high, but something -- but didn't. Took the time to check everything else they had, nothing close. Maybe I will call tomorrow, but it's a forlorn hope, so mine (and OH's) will be going off somewhere else like yours.

As you suggest its a winner for the likes of us and no doubt a good few others too. Likewise I'd consider something under what I might get elsewhere to keep everything on the one login/screen but the current 1% isn't going to retain me

If you do speak to them tomorrow be interested to know how you get on..as you say though best not expect too much !
