I heard on the early bbc news this morning that microsoft were releasing important security updates today.
So where are they? or have the beeb jumped the gun?
Maybe it was just a dream???

They were released last Tuesday. Open Internet Explorer, click tools then windows update to get them.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

The BBC should stick to playing lip-service for the Labour party (sarcasm) and not get involved with computers.
However all M$ releases are on patch Tuesday, second Tuesday of the month.
They do sometimes though release the odd thing without you knowing, such as spyware updates at random times.0 -

I have the updates,but didn't realise that they came on the second tues of the month.---shall i tell the beeb??
Probably be best not to or they will find some more outdated info to give out on a sunday morning!0 -

I did post on the 13th of June 2006, that at 19:00 the files were uploaded and ready to be used to update your systems.

I remember you posted there were no updates for 98SE. This was not true. I got updates on my XP64bit, W2000, and 98SE (4 critical on this one) machines.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Next month is the last update for 98SE. There were updates last Tuesday for this OS.
