Who pays the rest of your mortgage as you mention paying half?

are you taking early retiremernt on health grounds from the NHS or just leaving?

It is a joint mortgage which I have paid on my own since relationship breakdown, at the moment I pay £400 a month out of my half salary instead of the 1100 I should be paying.
Even though I pay mortgage on own up until now as it is in joint names benefits will only pay my half of the interest. My ex (joint owner is on benefits and does not live here, so understandably and rightly so only my half will ever be paid, so will have to make up the shortfall out of any entitlements).
As it is a mental health issue and I am only 40 I cannot take early retirement as mental health is apparently something that can be overcome leaving me fit to work at some point although never in the job I am trained for! I am not leaving, my employment is going to be terminated as I will never again be considered fit for the job I am employed to do (as it is a mental health issue!). I think they make up the rules as they go along!
