Fed up with EDF Energy

I guess this is probably a similar situation for many and with other energy companies too?

Since moving out with the g/f in September 2008 into rented accomodation and starting fresh with EDF on a dual fuel tariff basis (I was hoping it would make things cheaper and easier) I've had nothing but problems...

- Messing up the 'My Account' online login, after a couple of months of use the account suddenly didn't exist any longer so I had to re-apply for one. The 'energy usage' charts still don't work even though we've been with them for over a year.

- Going from a dual fuel tariff to a standard electricity tariff and a 'saver' tariff for the gas when I had applied online for both to be switched over to the 'saver' dual fuel tariff.

- Changing the electricity DD amount from £30 to £90 p/m when we've used less than £20 of electricity per month for the last 14 months and are in over £140 of credit (got them to change this back).

- Setting the initial DD amounts differently to what was agreed on the phone.

- Receiving inaccurate estimated bills when readings have been submitted at least quarterly as requested.

- Plus a few other annoying things!

To top that off, yesterday I received a letter from EDF saying that my '2009 fixed price tariff is coming to an end'. I said 'no' when asked originally if I wanted to be on the fixed price tariff (due to falling prices) and never thought I was on it. So now what do I do?!

I've almost lost the will to live now...

Sorry for the rant, but I'm seriously considering changing supplier if anyone thinks other companies could be better?!

Mine have never worked and I have been with them for 2 and a half years. I can't say I have had any DD problems because I pay them by bank transfer and and on a prepay meter for my leccie.

If you feel that strongly then change to another supplier. I can't really recommend anyone though as I stuck with EDF.
I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

Thanks for the reply. I'll start looking at new suppliers, I have no idea who to go with yet!
