It's not a laptop. It's a netbook. It has a lower power processor, small screen and no cd/dvd. It's designed for carrying around doing basic tasks. For this it is good. It's not something you could sensibly use to replace a desktop or even a laptop.0

ok thanks for your reply, i realised it was a notebook but didn't realise you couldn't do most basic stuff you can do on your pc. think ill skip this 1 thenhave now given up smoking since feb 13th 2014 loving the money I'm saving0

I picked one up at the weekend - but I was specifically looking for a netbook and I'm impressed by it - after a friend said his netbook struggled with powerpoint and the like I was imagining things being painfully slow -and they're not. Wouldn't do at all as a "main" PC - but I wanted something to show powerpoints etc on the go and the odd bit of work processing and portability was what I was after (my proper laptop was too big for what I needed it for) and it's little, red and fits in my handbag so I'm currently in love!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

IT ISN'T A FREE LAPTOP. Depending on the length of the contract, you can actually end up paying the equivalent of the shop price plus 29.9% APR.0 -
Think they're pushing to 24 month contracts on most of them - one of the reasons I went for buying my little red baby laptop outright. Would have got it subsidized on a mobile broadband contract if it was 12 or 18 months but 24 was too long for my liking - will see how the pre-pay mobile dongles pan out after New Year and pick one up for when I'm out and about then. Like I say - I'm impressed with the actual piece of kit as long as it's bought for what it's good at. Wish it had Windows 7 instead of XP is my big gripe - but rather that than Vista... hell... rather Windows ME than have to deal with Vista again ever!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
