Sage Installation error 1904

This is driving me mad, so I'm wondering whether someone can help me.
Starts installation and then just before we get to the configure ODBC etc this box comes up stating:
Error 1904.Modulec:/ ProgramFiles/CoomonFiles/Sageline50/SGXLLINE50ADDIN.dll failed to register. HRESULT. Contact your support personnel.
I click OK and then it continues to configure ODBC etc. Then it says installation complete.
I then can go into Active set up etc.
Then sage accounts EXE needs to close. Error sig: AppName sage exe. AppVer: 11.0.1.30 ModName:kernel32.dll. ModVers:5.1.2600.5781. Offset:00009823.
Log on again and I get this.
Detected program not shut down last time it was used.
Then username already in use. Do you want to remove user from request list and logon again? Yes.
When I log off, log on box reappears.
It is a vicious circle.
Done google, nothing helps. Tried deleting QUEUE.dta and there are no Open files.
Please help.

Should be your first port of call, not last resort... issue appears unique to Line 50 on your system.0
