Ditching Norton

Okay I have uninstalled Norton and now have the windows firewall and Microsoft security essentials. Anyone have a link to download ccleaner? Any opinions on whether that is enough security or should I do something else too?“We all pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free.”

Did you run the Norton removal programme as suggested?
Have you thought of Google?

I'd also recommend Defraggler

You also need Antimalware so i'd suggest Malwarebytes

Microsoft Security Essentials is supposed to be fairly quick.
I'd recommend doing a fresh reinstall of the OS if it's not too much bother, though. Firstly, it can improve performance on an old system, and secondly, it makes it far easier to install a new antivirus suite - especially as Norton is notoriously difficult to fully uninstall.0
