Anyway, I'm searching for an answer on this myself. I had to do a 'from scratch' install of Windows 7 on my PC a while back, to get over the molasses-like speeds I was getting under Vista.

I took a list of the various items of software I'd downloaded down the years, rather than keep it all on the machine, clogging it up. However, it seems as though I made a note of the wrong iPod-to-PC-to-iTunes app.

I'm sure I found a free one before (when a previous PC crashed on me) which allowed me to import my music from my iPod, rather than having to load up all my CDs one by one. However, the one I noted down http://www.ipodpctransfer.com is either a different one, or has now started charging. To be fair it is 'free' if you do it one song at a time, but with 11,000 songs on my iPod, that may take a while...

I back-up my data to the cloud using https://www.mozy.com, although I haven't moved any files back since the upgrade. Would it be easier to just retrieve my music files, and load up to iTunes that way?
