anyone drive a Clio? doing my daily scan of cars and seen one on a 51 plate that I quite like. Not the kind of car I go for normally (I like mid sized coupe cars) but it's the nicest small car I've seen so far. Sick of seeing huge old Mercs/BMW's/Volvo/Jags  I would have to probably go back into debt though :( the amount dependent on the offer, but possibly about £1200 or so.

I did have a clio many years ago BB, and an older model. Have to say It was very light to drive and a bit tinny, not much substence. But of course that might not be the case on this one you are looking at. It was pretty reliable TBH

  • BB,
Try that Honest Johns website (think that's what it is called?) and put the type of car/reg into it and it tells you what the common problems are etc.

I like Clios personally but not heard great things about Renaults.

    I'd have one though! lol

Am home, eating Milkybars (screw the diet....I NEEED chocolate) wearing trackies and a hoody (so chav!) and feeling a little better

I'm also in my tracky bottoms and Uni hoody top. I've got a big mug of Aero hot chocolate, it goes all lovely and bubbly.

this is the exact car I want - and within a couple of miles of my house

    http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/200949347724715/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-to/4000/transmission/automatic/postcode/bh153nn/page/8/radius/10/adid/200950348200257?previous=%2Fsearch%2Fresults%2Fusedcars%2Fpostcode%2Fbh153nn%2Fradius%2F10%2Fprice-to%2F4000%2Ftransmission%2Fautomatic%2Fpage%2F8%2Fadid%2F200950348200257%2Fsort%2Fpriceasc&anchor=advert200949347724715&logcode=p

I've loved this model since I used to see one park opposite my old house regularly many years ago. I bought the previous model with my ex (same colour). It's a big engine and a big car, so a stupid choice, but is exactly what I want. If I got it(say) for £2,300 or so, I'd have to put 2k to it (depending on the insurance offer) so a lot to invest in a car with a really reliable engine but would eat petrol for dinner on the tiny journeys I do.

Not quite sure what it would say about me as the projection of my personality! :rotfl:

So Ms Snaggles just WHAT exactly happened in the car park ? ;)

    :rotfl:

Well, we hugged, I handed him his present, he opened the back door of the car and had a chat to the kids, we chatted, we hugged again, then I told him to go back inside because it was freezing, and I would see him soon.

    See - I CAN behave! :D:D
