hardware problems

had me stacky thing back a few weeks ago
(now on window xp home edition)

recognises printer.... and web cam

ive tried to install phone suite thing.... have all the icons on the screen
put computer dosent recognise phone. (with disk thingy)

just tried to add pc camera.... had to go online to find install thingy...
now that cant be found.....(no disk thingy)

darent try scanner

any suggestion (in laymans terms please xxxxxx)

which camera ?? I assume you cannot find the drivers for it (though Xp normally recognise them staright off)

are you trying to use Nokia Phone suite, if so which model Nokia and how are you connecting , via cable ??

camera is a fujifilm A204 2.0 fine pix..... tried searchin and going
through camera & scanner thingy

phone suite = samsung D500... got the disk for that but still isent recogniseing it xxxxxxx

simple way to install things, most hardware needs a driver to make it work, windows XP has alot of drivers and most things will work when you plug the thing in.

the best way to install drivers is to put the disk that came with the device in the drive and connect the device, windows will search for the driver and hopfully find it, install it and it will be available. install any software and away you go. as you have upgraded to XP your pc may be slower at doing things so dont go plugging your device in and expecting it to work instantly give it 30 seconds or so.

mobile phones can be a pain and most of the time the software requires an update especially the motorola software it updates everytime I use it on my sisters pc.

Printers, scanners are the easist things to install put the disk in and it will guide you through it.
for the things you dont have the disk for use google to find the company that make the device and their site should have a support section where you can get the install files/drivers.

if you gave a better description in your post we could be really helpfull and point you to the right places but a webcam scanner pc camera ect could be made by anyone give us makes and model numbers we can find what you need.

EDIT
The camera should be available in my computer as a drive where you can copy your pictures from to your hard drive the easy way, it will never be in the cameras folder as that is for webcams unless the fuji software adds an enrty in there.

Your mobile software can be got for the D500 thingy or if your being really vauge in your model number for your phone and missing the E D500E thingy

you connecting via blutooth or cable ??
