Not strictly true as I've been to some whilst on holiday in Spain. Now there's your chance to maybe start one up locally maybe with someone else to help you.Schools are a good place to start sharing profits with PTA.

I imagine the concept has been imported to expat areas on the Costas, but I live in a large city elsewhere, where you don't need a car and there are no spaces to hold car boot sales anyway.

Thought I should check in. Over my holiday I managed to get a new boys T-shirt from the 99p shop (long sleeved with a digger) so Im hoping for a small profit on that. I aslo bagged a pair of BNWT socks from accessorize for sale for 99p in Oxfam. So again a small profit I hope. Tonight I am going to start my gigantic declutter. I endeavour to list all of my jewellery making stuff and the massive box of hardly used baby boy clobber. I have a tonne of CDs and DVDs so have decided to magpie magic those away. I am going to push my silver charm sales via family and friends and an online forum I belong to (they can make a good profit if I have the guts to sell them at a higher price). I have been asked to tutor for a friends child (Im a very experienced Primary school teacher) so will be charging £20 per hr for that (and others are interested too) so need to get that organised quickly. I may well start next week. Someone very kindly sent me a Doo Yoo invite so will have a crack at that too. Am off to write my very long list of everything I have to get done this week. I am going to try to get on here once a week to update on how Im going :j

I am so annoyed at bb if you email to complain they get in a strop and have dissabled my bonus now. I don't really care about that i just want my winnings out now and to get rid. I can't believe they can get away with changing the rules just because they didn't get their own way

I have kept my emails polite and they got all stroppy!

  • A further quick warning as I know people have been getting caught out on this.

I requested that my account be closed and all deposits returned to me on bingobritain and the line was held that I would have to have 50 in there to withdraw and that to close I would have to "email Patrick". I toyed with the chat operator for a while and considered emailing the gambling commission as I feel not giving me my deposits back was unreasonable. The operator was not too pleased about my criticism of their operation, I get the impression there are only 2 staff there and I may well have been speaking to one of the managers there given that I can never usually get through on live chat.

What I did in the end was to stick my cash balance on a hand of blackjack. While I wouldn't advise this normally, If you have winnings transfered to your cash balance that you can't withdraw, punting £25 on blackjack (following the optimimum strategy) is a positive EV bet. This is risky but if it goes above 50, you can withdraw and some of your stake in the first place will be as a result of the bonus and otherwise dead money.

Incidentily I pulled 12 to the house's Queen and they then showed an ace. Oopsy.

Just a slight update on me.. :)
I still have my £100, not touched it yet.
Listed some computer games on ebay, and made £92, and used £40 of that to buy some bits from a bankrupt stock website.
Along with a rebate from the water company, sitting at £62.56, and were on Day 2. Maybe a bit less, as i've not looked at how much ive spent on postage, but that will amount to about £6 or £7.. will properly update my sig (when i get round to doing it in the first place)
    Its all good!
Ok.. need some advice, im looking to sell a computer game which, due to the bits and bobs involved, comes in a big box. how can i work out postage on it, and is it easy enough just to bring to the Post office?

As long as its no more than 30kg the Post Office can take it. There are size guides depending on what service you want to choose so make sure you check their website as its too much to detail here! And make sure you chose a service that will cover you compensation wise if its worth more than £39. If your listing it on ebay then they do have a postage calculator when you get to setting the amount for postage, im sure. Or else go to Post Office website and you can work it out on there.

Depending on how friendly your local post office is, just go in with the weight and sizes and they can always advise you as well.

If this doesnt make sense feel free to ask more, i work there!
