Hi Guys bit of a strange one for you,Ive Passed My A+ and N+ so im quite with it lol , bin out on a job this week, this company brought a router years ago which being tight want to use again instead of buying a new one which is my problem ,when the router was last used it was WEP encryped , theres no reset swictch and they cant remember the Pass Key, now my first thought was use cain and abel on a machine that was previously connected to retreive the key (BUT) they are all new machines, i know there is was of cracking the wep key using linux but this takes ages , just wondering if any off you that have a windows based way of getting around this , im still hung on the idea of them buyin a new one would cost them less than me LOL
If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anyway

First off.... What type of wireless router is this?? Have you tried connecting to it via ethernet?? Sometimes you can do this then simply reset the wep key.0

WEP can be cracking in 10-20 minutes. There are plenty of guides on the web that'll give you instructions, and you might like to look into the live linux distro Whoppix, which includes tools for security testing.
Edit: although, to crack WEP you need wireless traffic to analyse, which by the looks of it you won't have

I'm not an expert so maybe this is useless but will a firmware upgrade / flash wipe everything ?0
