Car Tyres - where to buy the cheapest?

  • BTW, don't rule out Kumho brand of tyres. Sound like cheap junk but they're long lasting and grip well. In Auto Express tests, they had the best wet grip performance of all the brands they tested.

Get some prices and then go to the main dealer. The first price they give you will be very expensive but when you say you have done your homework they become a lot more reasonable.

    I use mytyres too.

    I used camskill.co.uk
they only supply so you need to arrange your own fitting at the local kwik fit or national but take the receipt because you might be asked for it.

I agree with vansboy - new tyres should go on the rear to improve handling and stability.
It seems that michelin agree too

  • I find the kwik fit website useful, so much cheaper if you order online and take it to your nearest centre to have them fitted, I found out the hard way and the same tyre I bought online 2 weeks before I had to buy another one (different wheel) due to a puncture was twice as expensive when you get it done on the spot!

  • Make sure you get the new ones put on the back. You should always try to have the tyres with the best tread on the back.

I'm another regular customer with Blackcircles, prices are very competitive for well known brands. They also give you various discounts on future purchases normally about £10 off a pair for me.
