Have you made sure the velcro is clean as this can affect the grip it has?

Without proof of purchase i doubt you will get very far as many shops won't even take back brand new items the following day without a receipt. I would go with zfrl and try cleaning the velco to see if it improves, if your good with a needle and thread craft shops do sell replacement velco.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
i took a pair of daughters shoes back as they were ruined and falling apart after 4weeks, the lady just swapped them for another pair. I would try in store first and if you get nowhere, then do a letter/email0

You need proof of purchase, not just a receipt (that is, a receipt is just one example of proof of purchase). If you paid for it via a debit or credit card you may be able to use a statement if it shows a transaction to the store for the exact price of the shoes. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
I work in a shoe shop and yes, it is reasonable to expect a pair of shoes to last more than two months. Firstly, really make sure that the velcro is clean and if that doesn't sort out the problem get a copy of your bank statement/credit card statement (for whichever payment method you used) and take it into the shop with the shoes. (I'm assuming that somewhere they will say 'Next' on them to prove they were bought from a branch of Next.) Smile sweetly at the staff and explain the situation in your nicest tone of voice about how your purse containing the receipt was stolen *ahem* and therefore you don't have it, but that you were hoping that they might be kind enough to look on your circumstances with leniency as you can prove that you paid money to their store on X date and even though you have no concrete proof that this money was used to buy this particular product, look at this dear, sweet face and could it possibly lie to you? Oh no, it couldn't!Please call me 'Pickle'

You can take them back, I work for the company. It is reasonable to expect them to last longer and they wouldn't expect you to still have the receipt if they were bought 2 months ago. You can exchange for another pair or get the money onto a refund card. They are faulty so I'd say take them back and see what they say.0
