Two headaches are better than one?

Last year when my daughter's Norton expired, I installed AVG free on her laptop and as far as I'm aware, all has been well. My Norton expires in three weeks and am tempted to follow the same route. However, we may well be moving mid-Jan when no doubt I will be without internet for as long as it takes for Talktalk to transfer and take over an existing BT line. Am I likely to encounter problems do you think?

Well 'mid Jan' is more than three weeks away so I don't see why you wouldn't install a new AV program on your computer? Am I Missing something?

yes but I'd also take a quick look at the volume of threads about people having AVG problems and get yourself a decent 'free' anti virus program.

Download now or just before you actually move (no doubt it could be delayed).

forget them all, my norton 360 ran out 2 months ago and ive got no problems.
(before you say 'well you wont know if you have no problems' i occasionally run a free scan from trial software).
so long as you know the sites you visit and dont stray to infected sites, its pretty hard to get an infection!
