Quick question - Does a PPI cover both parties?

Hi,
Just a quick clear up question,
The mortgage is in mine and the misses names.
The morgtgage gets paid out of a dedicated RBS joint bank account where only the wifes wage goes into.
Now do we each need a seperate PPI incase one of us gets made redundandant or will one policy cover us both?
So if I get made redundant I can claim for the mortgage to be paid even though it comes out of my wifes wage?
And vis versa, if my wife gets made redundant she/ we can claim for the mortgage to be paid even though I am still working?
Many thanks

It depends on how the policy is written. You need to refer to the policy document. You may both be covered. Hopefully whoever set it up did a good job for you.
Who actually pays the premium is irrelevant.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0
